PROJECT ON TEMPORARY HOLD DUE TO COVID-19 VIRUS (Government permitting offices closed.)
This project will resume!
If you are interested in buying a block of condos (approx. $1,000,000.00 investment on up), resell later at a great profit.
Please email us if you are interested.
We are ready to start taking refundable purchase reservation to hold a unit for you with 10% down.
One bedroom modules will be held for a $22,000, 2 bedroom for $33,000, and 3 bedrooms for $44,000. And if you would like a larger unit, they can be held priced accordingly.
Here is the basic floor plan for a one bedroom module that can be expanded. Remember, this is the developer of the highly successful Residencias Reef condominium Resort on the south end of the island. So don’t delay, put in your reservation now and stay tuned for continued information.
We are proceeding along nicely with the permitting phase of the project. Several design items have to be tweaked in the initial plans. The pdf of the plans are coming, and as soon as I have them, I will be sharing them with you.
The project is beautiful and with something for everyone. On the ground floor each unit will have a nice size yard with a pool in front. A unique design feature is on the 1st above the ground level and on the 2nd floors, the balconies are huge giving a lot of outdoor living space. The building is planned for 14 floors and there will be two luxurious penthouse condos.
There is a large 2 story lobby planned for the middle of the building. Defining the first phase to the north and the second phase toward the Melyia Maya Hotel to the south. Behind the 2nd phase will be a parking garage for 117 cars and plans are to have amenities on the rooftop of the garage.
Across the front of each phase will be a large swimming pool and in the middle of the building on the 13th and 14th floors will be an adult area with 2 swimming pools covered by a pergola for partial shade.

Cancun and the Mexican Caribbean have become the first destinations on the American Continent to receive the Safe Travels Global Security Stamp issued by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC).
“I am very pleased that Cancun and the Mexican Caribbean are considered safe destinations for travel,” said the Governor of Quintana Roo.
Governor Carlos Joaquín says that the international protocols will allow the reopening of the state’s tourist destinations to recover and generate new jobs. This seal of safe travel has the backing of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
He says in Mexico, tourism is an essential activity which will gradually begin to return starting on June 1, noting that some hotels will open internally for staff to update hygienic conditions and adopt to the new sanitary security protocols, so that as of June 8th, they can receive tourists under these new sanitary protocols.
Carlos Joaquín stated that this seal will provide traveler confidence regarding hygiene and sanitation standards in places such as hotels, restaurants, airlines, airports and cruises, among other tourism-related businesses... Read more>>>
Cozumel Sea Turtle nesting season off to a good start!
During the first days of the 2020 sea turtle nesting season, the Cozumel Parks and Museums Foundation (FPMC) has marked 21 nests in the Tortuguero Punta Sur Camp, of which 20 are loggerhead and one white.
Rafael Chacón Díaz, director of Conservation and Environmental Education reported that May 1, biologists from the Fundación de Parques y Museos de Cozumel (FPMC) began monitoring the beaches of the Laguna Colombia Ecological Reserve.
He explained that the monitoring involves three people along the Punta Sur beaches to visually locate, identify and mark the nests, thereby maintaining updated information for the season. The information is then forwarded to several agencies including the General Directorate for Wildlife, the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources and the State Committee for the Protection of Turtles along with the Municipal Committee for the Protection of Sea Turtles.
Last year, Campamento Tortuguero Punta Sur recorded 1,621 nests.. Read more>>

We really have it tough??
Editorial by Jerry HoganOver the past month and a half, every time I start talking with someone the conversation quickly turns to how upset and tired they are of the restrictions placed upon them by the government. The isolation in the homes is the major source of the discontent. How horrible it is to stay confined to your home when you would much rather be out and about and doing things that make sense rather than being restricted inside for, it seems, forever!
Whoa is us! How about some of the other places that we know about and what they might be having to do to face the perils of COVID-19. For example, how about the citizens of Cozumel, Mexico . Their island is totally dependent on the tourist trade for their economy. Between the cruise ships and the diving, probably 75-80% of the visitors come to the island for that purpose. Because of COVID-19, the cruise ships stopped coming to the island the end of March and the earliest they might return is August; a gap without all that income of about 5 months. The government of the island stopped all diving, closed all beaches, barred all activity around the reefs, and instituted stringent restrictions of all citizens: a curfew between 4 in the afternoon and 5 in the morning, all restaurants limited to takeout, all stores and restaurants closed by 4 pm each day including all grocery stores. Violators were picked up by soldiers and police. No government subsidies due to income loss by the citizens.
Or how about the country of Honduras. Here the citizens are confined to their homes and only allowed to leave once every 15 days. The police and soldiers enforce this restriction. All air travel to and from the country has been stopped and only flights bringing people back to the country who have been expelled from the US. US citizens caught in country at the start of the crises can only leave by going through the embassy and being booked on these flights returning to the US. Again no government help for the citizens.
Or how about closer to home. Take for example the Navajo nation in the Southwestern US. Composed of about 400,000 people of which about 200,000 are Navajo native Americans. The nation is larger than 10 of the US states but currently it has the highest per capital COVID-19 infection rate in the US. 40% of the citizens are unemployed and about 40% of the families live under the federal poverty rate. 30% of the homes have no running water and 10% have no electricity. The residents of this nation have been under an isolation order, along with nightly and weekend curfews, since mid-April. No electricity means no TV, no Internet, no news, and the list goes on and on! How would you like this environment instead of what we currently have?
There is an old saying that all us of us have heard in our lives; "The Grass is Always Greener on the Other Side of the Fence." Sometimes when you look at that grass, you may decide it really doesn't apply today. Think about that the next time you start complaining about what you must do to help survive this COVID-19 virus.
Jerry Hogan
