Royal Caribbean Restart: A Concise Ship-By-Ship Guide

Cozumel beachgoers snap photos of deer cooling off
Cozumel beachoers were surprised Friday to see a deer enjoying the
sea. The animal was watched by beachgoers at Mr. Sanchos Beach Club as
he ran along the sand. Some at the beach club were able to snap a few
photos of the animal.
It is believed that the animal arrived to cool off since the region
has seen soaring temperatures of between 35 and 40C (95 to 104F) for
nearly a month. The excessive heat, combined with a lack of rainfall,

CAPA says the old water tower of Cozumel to be demolished.
The old CAPA water tower located next to its office in Cozumel is set
for demolition. Since the 35-year-old old tank is no longer used and in
an advanced state of deterioration, the city has decided to demolish
it.
Cozumel CAPA manager Vlady Luz Vivas recalled these elevated tanks
were once used to create more pressure as water was distributed
throughout island networks. Now, with the extensive population growth,
the tank has been replaced by a modern base on 95th Avenue.
He says the company hired to tear down the old water tower is in the
process of conducting studies to determine the best way to collapse it.
Once a method is determined, the tower will be set for demolition, which

Mexico’s Plan for COVID -19 vaccination
The Secretary of Health announced today, December 8, how the
vaccination plan will be and the time it will take to apply the vaccine.
vaccination will start with health personnel and subsequently be
prioritized according to the level of risk of having severe COVID as it
may be age and comorbidities. (The persons at high risk with diabetes,
high blood pressure, obesity, etc.). it is expected that by the first
trimester of 2022 the vaccination of the entire population of the
Republic of Mexico will conclude.

Cozumel installs covid lab test at ferry terminal
The lab provides both antigen and PCR testing
Travelers on the island of Cozumel will now be able to undergo a
Covid-19 test prior to ferry boarding. The news came from the general
director of the Comprehensive Port Administration of Quintana Roo,
(APIQROO) who says starting February 18, the ferry terminal at Cozumel
will begin operating its portable lab.
APIQROO head Alicia Ricalde Magaña says the Cozumel maritime terminal
will have a Marko Teck Laboratory module from where tests can be
carried out to detect the presence of the virus. She said that the port area of Cozumel is one more option for
international tourists who are in need of a negative covid test to
return to the country of origin. The portable lab will be able to
provide antigen test results in about 20 minutes and PCR test results in
about two hours.
