April 21st saw the Trashy Little Group surpass 400 bags of trash collected so far this year.
Near the entrance to the Rancho Buenavista, the group picked up right where they left off in March - adding a whopping 42.5 bags to the 2012 Bag Counter.
Lots of lucky hidden treasure winners went home with a nice prize, and everyone left the beach satisfied that they helped return an unsightly area back into a beach paradise.

Mexico Labour Day Kick back on May 1 - it's Labor Day!
Labor Day in Mexico is one of the government holidays that has nothing to do with a specific person or with a holiday.
Mexico's Labor Day being on May 1st does actually have some meaning behind it.
Labor Day in Mexico means no government office works.
Labor Day isn't all rest and relaxation either, it is used as a time to peacefully protest against the issues that might arise with whatever company
that particular employee works for.
You can see different companies protesting on main streets and in front of city halls often on Labor Day.
Be aware that many government offices, banks, stores and offices will be closed May 1st in all of Mexico.

Scotiabank has decided to temporarily stop taking new loan applications until they can improve their internal business model and improve service.
There is no time frame on when Scotiabank will start taking new loan applications again, but they are aware of the negative reputation they have received and want to make the improvements necessary to improve their reputation. All loans we currently have approved and submitted prior to April 15 will be closed. By increasing the total security for the loan, we can increase the loan amount for the purchase of the Mexico property.
These loans can be closed in 4 weeks, depending on how busy the investor becomes. The interest rate for these loans is 10% and front end points will be 6% of the loan amount, with no other lender fees for the appraisal, wiring fees, etc. If there is enough equity, they may not even need a loan in Mexico.
As you know, Mortgages In Mexico has been doing loans in Mexico since 2004 and we plan to continue to ride out the storm and be ready to originate a lot of loans once Scotiabank returns to the market.
