Halloween vs The Day of the Dead
Halloween is celebrated in Cozumel on October 31st but the kids do not scream trick-or-treat but instead ""we want halloween!" In Mexican culture the Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) is a very important day celebrated on November 1st through the 2nd and often associated with Halloween. Halloween children dress up in frightful costume to supposedly ward off evil spirits where as on Day of the dead loved ones welcome spirits of passed ones and honors them. Whether you celebrate Halloween or Day of the Dead there will be plenty of celebrations in Cozumel to join in on!

Cozumel is generally warm through out the days of October. Despite the fact that there are 14 days of rainfall to an average of 218mm, you can expect to enjoy 8 hours of sunshine everyday. The average temperature for the month is 82F with the daytime high temperatures being approximately 86F. There is a drop at night when things cool down with the evening sea breeze driving some cool effects on the island.
