Current Status of Coronavirus in Q.ROO
Figures for new positive coronavirus cases continue to decrease around the state with the latest report identifying 46 cases in a 24-hour period. According to the State Secretary of Health (SESA), Quintana Roo is also reporting a decrease in hospital occupancy due to Covid-19.
They also report the rate of growth of C-19 cases is currently 0.5 in the north and 0.9 in the south, a decrease of more than half in passing weeks. In the past 24 hours, 10 deaths have been reported, four in Othón P. Blanco, three in Solidaridad, one in Benito Juárez, one in Cozumel and one in Lázaro Cárdenas.
Although the state’s current epidemiological light remains orange for all municipalities, there have been hints that Quintana Roo could move ahead to a yellow light in coming weeks, which would mean a decrease in restrictions and an increase in business activities.

Cozumel hospital project to see addition of Covid area
The Secretary of Health has verified work being done to strengthen hospital infrastructure for Cozumel. Health Secretary Alejandra Aguirre Crespo confirmed project progress of the General Hospital of Cozumel for the care of COVID-19 patients.
She said they are adding a properly equipped area with intensive therapy beds for the care of COVID-19 patients who, due to their critical condition, require mechanical ventilation to improve their life expectancy... READ MORE>>>
